Auction Services

Blue  Ridge Realty also offers Auction Services.  R.D. Snead is an auctioneer and has been conducting auctions for some 23 years. He owns Russell Land & Auction Co.  Depending on the circumstances sometimes it is very advantageous to a real estate customer to go ahead and get the  property sold and closed ASAP.  For example, in estates if the heirs are in a hurry to settle the estate and the home is full of furniture etc., and they have no where to take or put it, then we can immediately set up an auction date and potentially sell all the personal property items and get a buyer for the home in one day. Thus saving the sellers/heirs a lot time and eliminate a lot of stress for them, as often settling an estate can be a very stressful and very emotional and we can kind of  take that burden off the family.  We have found over the years, sometimes, it is a good way to sell a property that is having trouble in the  market for whatever reason.  It could be its location, condition or other things.  An auction can likely get the job done and allow the seller to convert their property to cash in short order.  We have also found, in some cases, an auction is perhaps, the only effective way, to get ahead of a foreclosure and hopefully prevent the seller from  possibly losing any equity the seller may have in the property.  Basically, there are two kind of  auctions.  An auction with a Minimum Reserve or an Absolute auction.  We work closely with our sellers to determine the best method to best address their needs.  So, at Blue Ridge Realty this is why we say, "ONE WAY OR THE OTHER WE CAN HELP YOU AND CONVERT YOUR PROPERTY TO CASH"
